ESXi 8.0 FreeでNVMe SSDの温度を確認する

ESXi 8.0 Free環境で、NVMe SSDの温度が取得できるのかを確認してみた

まず情報源は「Commands to Display S.M.A.R.T. Data for NVMe Devices in ESXi

S.M.A.R.T.データの読み出しを行うコマンドがある、と

NVMe系コマンド操作で情報取得する場合

まず、NVMeストレージの一覧を確認

Composite Temperatureの値はあるが、Temperature Sensorの値が全部なし

これは、怪しいメーカ製のNVMe SSD(TWSC TSC1BN2562DF7T10A)であることに由来していると思われる

検証

ここまではNVMe SSDのヒートシンクに向けて冷却ファンが稼働している状態で実行していた

冷却ファンを止めて温度上昇が発生するのかを検証
